Cinderella Carriage

The Cinderella Carriage for the Disney store was created over several weeks to coincide with the release of the 2015 movie, using many different techniques and across departments.
The build started with a steel fabricated frame, rolled tube chassis and cartwheels.
The frame for the carriage section was then clad with MDF and additional timber parts fabricated as can be seen in the image to the right.

The more decorative parts, header and doors etc, were created in the sculpture department with 3D files on a CNC mill and then moulded and cast in fibreglass by the mould shop, to produce multiple parts and to keep them lightweight.
The carriage was broken down into transportable parts, finished in gold in the spray shop and built on site in the Disney store, Bond street, over the course of 2 nights.
