Hasbro
Hasbro Games rotating window display for Hamleys toy store.
This bespoke unit design for Hasbro brought together many features to create an eye catching window display in central London.
The unit featured a rotating central display section, with 2 different game releases shown either side (Monopoly & Cluedo).
There also featured a mechanised arrow gauge that swayed from side to side continuosly, and a changing LED light panel header as well as spotlights to highlight the product.
The unit was of MDF construction in several parts that was then spray finished, with Foamex graphics and cut outs.
The central turning section was mounted on a robust turntable that featured a split ring power supply. This meant lighting could be incorporated into the rotating section via mains power.
Each side featured several small props from the games that were sculpted out of HDU and other materials and then scenically painted.
I created a simple mechanism using a motor and an offset arm to create the swinging arrow, which was then fitted with a solenoid switch by an electrician to link the changing LED panel with the movement of the arrow.
